how playfun saves your game progress
Learn what stays in your browser, what an optional account can synchronize, and how Playfun keeps public scores separate from private saves.
Play without an account
You can open a Playfun game and start playing without creating an account. Supported games keep favorites, recent activity, settings, and progress in the browser on that device. This makes it quick to play and avoids putting a sign-in wall in front of visitors.
Browser storage is local. Clearing browser data, changing devices, or using a private browsing window can make that local progress unavailable. The My Saves page lets you inspect and export supported Playfun save data before changing devices or clearing storage.
What an account adds
An optional account is designed to add private synchronization. Basic cloud saves remain a free account feature. When synchronization is available for a game, its supported progress can follow the player between signed-in devices.
Playfun does not treat a locally imported score as a verified public result. Public leaderboard submissions use a separate server-issued attempt and validation flow. This separation means importing a save file cannot create a public leaderboard position.
Private player statistics
Signed-in play can contribute to private account statistics such as meaningful sessions, completed games, active playtime, and reported wins, losses, or draws. These statistics are not public by default, and they do not include an email address in public leaderboard rows.
The statistics system ignores ordinary page views. A game must actually start before it becomes part of the player’s activity history. Repeated event identifiers are counted once so normal network retries do not inflate totals.
Staying in control
Use local play when you do not want an account. Use an account when cross-device saves and private history are useful. Before enabling child accounts and advertising broadly, Playfun will add clearer parent controls, data deletion, and age-appropriate privacy information.
You can read the current privacy notice, manage local files from My Saves, or return to all games.
